While attending the 40-Hour HAZWOPER or Emergency Response Courses, all students will participate in a full dress-out exercise. The students will be dressed in
either Lever A, B or C Chemical Protective outfits. Our dress-outs are designed to give the student knowledge and confidence in wearing various forms of Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE). To do this, METRO has each person perform tasks that test hand-eye coordination, dexterity, communication skills and knowledge of
donning and doffing of PPE. This is all done in a fun, yet "eye opening" format. Our
Photo Gallery
shows students performing a variety of "silly" tasks like playing frisbee, bouncing a ball or opening a padlock. For Emergency Response, we do a little more serious work like Plug and Patch procedures, Decontamination and Rescue
of victims.
